Traveling with your pet?

We love Gunner very much and only want to make sure he is completely taken care of. Often that means we are not COMFORTABLE with leaving him with anyone but his Manny. His Manny is a special person and loves Gunner as much as I do. Gunner looks to him as a Daddy. However, his Manny also has a life and travels too, often with me.

Finding someone to care for him is just the hardest thing I have ever encountered. I am so picky and I have my rules.

So we are venturing out on traveling with him. I have found the hotels, planned stops for bathroom and exercise breaks, we have portable beds, crates and whatknots, but ... what about if we go on a cruise. OMD (oh my dog) we are so totally messed up. Gunner would not have a good time on a cruise, nor would I want to subject him to that, but I do not think I would have a good time knowing he was home. Then there's that whole NO DOGS ALLOWED ON A CRUISE SHIP thing...

Yikes, is this what parents go through? Oh heck no, they don't care...LOL.... I have 54 cruises under my belt and I can tell you this, I cannot for the life of me think I will stop cruising.

One of my friends said I would rather die 100 deaths than watch Gunner and have something happen to him, I am quite sure you would kill me with your bare hands or have one of your henchmen do it. I think they are right... Yikes it's road trips for us... For now...

Mommy smells a bulldog rat...

We are still just trying to have fun with the bulldogs, but it gets a little over-complicated with all the 12 year old behaviors...

So we're just having our own fun... Tomorrow is New Toy Tuesday and we are having a BIG time shopping...LOL I am a spoiled Bulldog.

Dog park was fun, not a lot of bulldogs

We had a small gathering at the local dog park, I am not sure about going to another for a while. Gunner is exceptionally tired and I think he just might have a bit of a cold. WE had fun with our new friend and hopefully it will be a great playdate time.

Mom is having a bulldog meetup for me, she hopes that there will be a few bullys for me to play with.

Today I had to babysit the parents geesh

Both parents are sick. Yesterday I had my favorite guy over with the two sisters from another mister and we played and I showed the barking dog neighbors I had my own posse'.

Living in the new house is cool with the exception of the barking dogs that think I shouldn't be in my OWN backyard. Mommy is putting up another fence to block their view so they stop barking at me. Besides those dogs are icky, dirty white icks...

We back before Lent is over...

I have so much to say. First, my human Mommy is sick so we are all holed up in the house until they fix her (the doctor). Second, I love my Mommy being home with me all the time, we have special times all day long. Thirdly, because my Mommy is sick, she has to make major changes in her life and rid herself of stress and all that other jazz.

Last night, after eating Nom Noms Mommy took me for a ride in the BIG car (truck actually) without a crate. I sat upfront with Mommy and Daddy. We went to see my favorite people in the whole world Mr. Kenny and Mrs. Jeannie. Mr. Kenny rolls around on the grass with me and is the most special person in the whole world to me. Since I was a baby Mr. Kenny has been my buddy and I love to see him.

Today Mommy has a lot of tough decisions to make and she will need all my strong love and advice. She was able to rock me to sleep last night and tuck me in. I love being with my Mommy and Daddy and I hope my Mommy get's better. Tomorrow the sitter is coming because Mommy has more doctor stuff.

Happy Tuesday Daddy is going to get me new toys I think...

Bulldog life is not for me...

Gunner's sister from another mister is sick. Not contagious sick, but she has the creeping crud. We are taking a life break right now, be back after Lent.
