When I bought Gunner I was under the impression Bull Dogs were lethargic couch potato's and didn't have much energy. He had a lot and as he has gotten older he isn't slowing down any. Well, he is only 7 months old... I have repeatedly asked for a refund, he is all if not any 1000% active. (kidding)
Last night Gunner pulled the best prank ever... He will stand up at the side of my bed, the couch and not try and do anything. Last night I was at my desk and he came up to my chair so I gave him kisses and then petted him. He got down, looked at me and jumped right up on my WHITE couch. He has never done that, I took him off the couch and back to the floor and he did it again. This went on for 4 or 5 times. I finally covered my couch and put him to bed... This morning, he walked past the couch and looked at it, tugged the cover off and balled the cover up.
Our next chapter is going to be changing his food, with my feet dragging and kicking, I am putting him on my second favorite food... This is really bothering me, but I am sure he will be fine!
.......I am an English Bulldog that loves life, playing with my toys and giving budges to everyone...My favorite things to do right now are sleep and celebrate New Toy Tuesday's! Oh yeah and go shopping!

Gunner went to the vet and he's fine. Me not so much!
Gunner went to see the amazing Dr. Marks who I am pretty sure thinks I am a nutball. He expertly examined Gunner and observed him in various stages of wack-a-doodle ness and determined it was a fluke event and Gunner is fine. We might have to change his food, but I am protesting, I love BilJac and Gunner has an amazing coat on it.
Now I am not so sure if Gunner was just missing Doc or not. He loves going there, I wonder if I could volunteer there a day a week so I could bring Gunner there for a visit.

Irresponsible Pet owners
I love animals, all animals with the exception of Squirrels, but I would never ever hurt them. The neighbor was a renter and by saying that you would think I dislike renters, which I don't. This house has been a problem house, but I really liked these neighbors. The Mom ran a tight ship. They had animals, and they appeared to be well cared for. A few more animals than most have, but hey she was a nice lady. One day she comes and tells me her dog had a puppy and they didn't even know it was pregnant. (Her Yorkie I think) the dog looks like a Rotti which she has one... She went to PetsMart and bought a DNA test... Seemed concerned about animals.
So rewind to about a month ago when I was walking my dear Gunner and she mentions they are moving at the end of the month (July). I was sad, she is a nice neighbor, one of the best that have been there, and after last summer with the neighbors from hell, I was happy... But now, oh no, not a good thing.
At the end of last month, I was anxiously watching to see them move and wondered what will happen with this house. Well they didn't actually move at that time, they started the process that has lingered. However, as of a week ago they left their cats here with food at the door. We have had storms and torrential rains, and I have been crazy nuts over them leaving the cats here. We are in a pickle, do I call the county, they are cool cats, (we can't take them Gunner is not found of them) what to do?
With the economy the way it is and families downsizing, I know this is bound to happen more than not, but seriously, make an effort, talk to people, find homes, don't assume everyone else will care for your left behind animals.
I can't sit by and watch them go hungry or scared, so if you hear of a lady in a shoe with 200000000 cats it's me, and the funny thing is I am allergic to them and my dog no likey...

Gunner is not quite right...
This morning while Gunner was eating, he stopped and left his bowl. When we turned around to look for him he was laying on his back flailing himself choking. Immediately he was picked up and given the swat on the back and he vomited. He was down for the count. He has never done this before and while we watched him most of the day and at his afternoon feeding, he is going to vet tomorrow.
Running to the vet every week is not my style. I do think Gunner has a upper respiratory or something, but on the safe side, I do not want to have any issues with him when we go away in a short while.
Gunner is my life and I love him, he is helpless and cannot speak to say what is going on. I am sure Dr. Marks will have an answer and will fix my baby Gunner.
Saying many puppy prayers for my sweetheart!!!

So much going on for this little bulldog
We have so much going on that I don't know where to start and where to hide. We are moving (maybe soon) we are hosting a party (Mommy is) we are fixing things, buying things, cooking things, having movie night, traveling, packing, and so on and so on... and Daddy 1 had surgery so I have to nurse him back to health. This is a lot for a bulldog my size I want you to know.
Add all this to the fact I have a new cousin I have to keep in touch with ::::WAVING::::: hi Alex in Philly, and Mommy is busy planning my first birf day party in January.
The fact is I need a bigger paycheck for all this and I haven't even mentioned all the fun yet.
Stay tuned I am getting my own tv channel (youtube) and you can see my tricks and stuff.
Happy Hour Friday at my place be there or be without the bestest treats ever!!!

Gunner's house is a mess
The Gunner house, let's face it, he owns everything... is a mess. I am on an emotional roller coaster house hunting, trying to live peacefully and taking care of Gunner. We are not in a perfect setting, we are sort of limited to the outdoor space because of a big CEMENT pond, in some areas of the world they are called a swimming pool. Bulldogs can't swim, and MOST not all don't like the water. BUZZ fail, Gunner has no fear.
So I take him out front on a leash each and every potty break. From 6-7 am to 1-3 am depending on Lord Pain in the Ass' wishes. I love him dearly but I wonder what was I thinking getting a dog.
So not to be outdone in my stupidity, I go to buy another PUPPY. Not just a puppy, another BULLDOG puppy. Still living in the same circumstances and still pulling my hair out. While I love and adore this other puppy, it will have as much work needed as Gunner did/does.
Gunner is far too aggressive for my liking, so off to behavior school for him next week. Yes that's right my Bulldog is a mess, a hot mess as Chelsea Handler says. I sort of blame her for his actions because he watched her when he was a wee pup with me at night and I think she's to blame. If he could talk (Gunner) I am sure he was say get me some Vodka bitch... Belevedere only...
So as I head out to buy a house tomorrow, hey stranger things have happened, I will sigh several times as I think of all that mess waiting for me at home. If I don't return home, someone give Gunner some damn Vodka... Thank you very much!!!

What didn't work for Gunner's fast eating...
I have read all along that Bulldogs that eat fast will have problems, so I have been concerned that Gunner would eat to fast. Yesterday afternoon Gunner went out to potty, came in and played hard on da Mommy's bed. He immediately went to eat wherein I noticed he was eating really really fast. So I decided to try the ball in the food dish in lieu of the actual bowl that I do not own as of yet...
NOT the best idea for Gunner. I nearly scarred him for life. He wouldn't even walk past the bowl with half his remaining supper in it. I sat on the floor and hand fed him the balance and coaxed him into eating. It was quite an ordeal. I knew I had to rectify it immediately, so after he finally would go near the bowl I gave him a little more food. He was fine...
This morning, I prepared his breakfast (scooped it out) and put it in the bowl, his short term memory was erased, whew... he was back to normal... What an experience... On our next visit to the vet, I will ask what his suggestions are and if the slow eat bowl will work. Never using the ball trick again...
